The local term “Conbini” or Convenience Store is all around you in Tokyo and Japan. Some people just live off of them. Drinks, food, books, atm, hygiene goods, etc. They even sell under shirts and tie’s.

Choose from 7-11 (Seven Eleven), Lawsons, Family Mart, and a bunch of others. Their welcoming songs are also something to take note of. The clean floors, bathrooms and welcome greetings are so nice, no wonder you don’t feel like leaving once you enter.

Their open 24 hours and like a home away from home. Feel free to make it one of your destinations.

Another place to be sure to check out is Daikokuya or “Second Hand Stores”. You might not need a second hand bag or watch, but you can buy movie tickets and travel packages for cheap there! And don’t worry they are legit! ALSO! This is the most important part, you can exchange your money here and they offer the best rates! Better than banks or other exchange centers. SO be sure to find one.

Lastly, you can’t miss out on Don Quixote Shop (ドン・キホーテ). It’s in bright characters and usually really noisy. They sell everything you can imagine at a cheap price. Food, clothing, suitcases, costumes etc. It’s a great place to kill some time and shops usually have someone who can speak a little English.
